Posted in Art and Creation, Doctor's Art, Free and Open Source Software, Multimedia Entry, Ubuntu on April 13th, 2011 by doctormoPJ of Groklaw is shuttering groklaw, so there’ll be no more new content on the website. Groklaw has been a fantastic reference, both in following the SCO saga and with learning more about copyright and other legal issues. The newspicks were some of the best selected of any linux related website I know and they will be missed.
For you PJ, a cartoon that took me all day to draw:
Thanks for all the fish. Can’t wait to see what your next case is!
Free Culture Posters, Get Them Here
Posted in Art and Creation, Doctor's Art, Free and Open Source Software, Guides and HowTos, Multimedia Entry, Ubuntu on April 6th, 2011 by doctormoTo celebrate the release of revision 16 of my Free Culture Tabloid sided poster, I’ve put together each section into it’s own US letter poster so that a multi-poster display can be created using all of the pieces.
Do you like the edits that have gone into each revision? Is the wording easy to understand and direct enough for public consumption? Please give me your thoughts in the comments below.
Fighting Talk
Posted in Art and Creation, Cartoons and Comics, Critique, Doctor's Art, Free and Open Source Software, Ubuntu on March 14th, 2011 by doctormoThere has been a lot recently about community fighting. It’s been interesting, but also silly in a lot of ways because it’s a great deal about egos, and you know what happens when the immovable ego meets the unstoppable ego.
Congratulations Debian!

Posted in Art and Creation, Doctor's Art, Multimedia Entry, Ubuntu on December 13th, 2010 by doctormoWhy today did I make an Edubuntu clock?

Well it looks nice on my wall as a replacement design for the boring old default design the clock came with, but other than that I haven’t the faintest idea, perhaps you do?
Britonaut Sez, Done in Ubuntu!
Posted in Art and Creation, Cartoons and Comics, Doctor's Art, Multimedia Entry, Ubuntu on December 11th, 2010 by doctormoHey weekenders, fancy cheering up after the week long roller coaster ride that was Coronation Street? Did you watch Senator from Vermont Bernie Sanders impassioned fillerbuster against tax breaks for the super rich and can’t seem to get your blood pressure to go down? Have you got a whole spare case of frustration at the treatment of Wikileaks creator Julian Assange?
Then let me cheer you up with a bit of comedy for the holiday season:
And before you start, this was made completely with Ubuntu using Inkscape, totally vector based and is excellent practice for making Ubuntu training and advertising materials.
Promote Free Culture
Posted in Art and Creation, Doctor's Art, Free and Open Source Software, Guides and HowTos, Multimedia Entry, Ubuntu on December 9th, 2010 by doctormoThis poster has been in the works for a while, but I’m happy enough to finally publish it today:
It’s available in source form from Spread Ubuntu here and on the deviantArt page you can order a print if you can’t make your own prints.
If you think the work I do to make our cultural ideas more easily understood, consider dropping a few sheckles1:
What do you think?
Update: I put in fresher text which should help some of the older stale text be more understood.
