    Speaking of Ubuntu installs:

VMware install of Ubuntu 10.04 beta, just fine.

VMware install of Kubunut 10.04 beta, fails with error message

VMware install of Ubuntu 10.04 and install of KDE packages or install of Kubuntu 9.10 and upgrade result in same thing, a sign on screen that will not take my sign on. I drop to command line, which will let me sign on, but won’t start KDE.

One thing I notice in all of these, Amarok requires access to the “wallet” program. You start up Amarok and get the big pretty splash art ( which I am aware can be turned off ) and that covers up the wallet window that automatically comes up right after.

I’ll revisit when the end of April and the full release comes around.
