I have seen computers with Ubuntu preinstaled (I would prefer to see Kubuntu, but ok) in my local computer shop. However, after vista 7 (nearly same kernel and only cosmetic changes compared to Vista) premiere, there are usually computers running only it. This is not surprising, because there was even vista 7 advertisement in the front of the shop. MS marketing everywhere. “What have you seen at your local computer shop?”
