You list a number of use cases, but as a content producer, you may want to consider also that you are able to produce using Ubuntu: lots of things allow one to browse / view / etc. Fewer provide strong environments for creation. Even fewer do not differentiate between “developers edition” or “artists edition” so that every user can create with the base product. Ubuntu may be yours, but your use of it is not limited to what you describe.

Interesting. A couple of things:

1) Can we correct our pronunciations to “Oo-boon-too” please (If for no other reason than out of respect for the original language where it came from.) Reminds me of the early days when people called the kernel “Lye-nuks”

2) Being “mine” is not a differentiator. Many distributions based on the Linux kernel are “yours”, or could be if you wanted. The key differentiators for Ubuntu are ethos and community, in the local sense. No other can match it.
