The “license” that was given to them in the cartoon is a copy of Windows – that’s the box that the penguin is stabbing.

Its more than likely because the copyright issue with the ubuntu trademark in the satanic edition’s shop a couple of months back. It was just a mix up really. Not too funny though.

I’m French, so maybe i can help .

This picture has been shown on Clubic (http://www.clubic.com/) which is a website talking about new technologie and computing.

This picture was about the Ubuntu Satanic Edtion (http://ubuntusatanic.org/news/). Canonical asked to don’t use the name Ubuntu (because Mark thought it could harms the Ubuntu & Canonical’s notoriety).

Many people wasn’t happy about that idea, because Ubuntu & free software are for everybody without discrimination. So finally Mark decided to allow Ubuntu Satanic Edtion to use the name Ubuntu.

This picture is funny because it shows that Mark understood Ubuntu Satanic Edtion had the same aim that Canonical, kick Window’s ass. So as long as it help to destroy the ennemy you can use Ubuntu’s name.

ps: the drawer is called Flock.
