Ubuntu 9.10 Installed

I’ve got Ubuntu 9.10 installed on my only computer laptop from System76.

There have been problems, I have taken a day to get everything back to some kind of order. I still have some problems, but working through them.

This isn’t a review, I’ll do that after a month or so.

    I read your post “Fighting a USB Install” and saw your update about your System76 notebook. I am planning on purchasing the Serval Professional by end of December. Do they make a good PC? Is your problem common with System76 notebooks? Are you pleased with your purchase?

    I’m pleased with the machine, it’s a good machine. I’m not pleased however with their dealings of my intermittent fault. Hardware sometimes breaks in very odd ways, where every so often the machine will just eject the kernel and you’ve crashed.

    The problem is, they should have replaced my machine with a different one, but they didn’t.
